Grooming Policies

Aggression: We do not groom dogs that show any signs of aggression during the grooming process. This is not only for the safety of the groomers, but also for the other pets in the salon. We are happy to refer owners of such pets to another groomer, or to a reputable trainer for professional help.

Vaccinations:  Proof of vaccines are NOT required prior to your grooming appointment. Many veterinarians in the area have different protocols tailored to the lifestyle of each pet. Please discuss vaccines with your veterinarian of choice to provide a safe level of protection for your dog.

Cages:  For your pets protection, we do have cages at Groom 'n' Style. Sometimes well behaved dogs are allowed loose in the salon. If you do not want your dog to interact with others please let us know in advance.

Fleas:  We do not groom dogs with fleas!!! If your dog has fleas please visit your veterinarian for treatment.

Matted Coats:  Dogs with matted coats will be "stripped" or shaved very short. A waiver must be signed by the owner before we can consent to grooming a matted pet. The minimum fee for a matted pet is $75 (for a small dog).

Large and Extra Large Dogs:  All dogs over 75 pounds need to come in for a meet and greet before making their first appointment, and must come in on a regular basis (every 12 weeks or less).

Pricing: Prices are individually determined for each dog and based on the amount of time it will take to complete the grooming. Factors that are considered include the breed, coat condition, size, behaviour, and complexity of style desired for your pet's grooming.

Payment:  Payment is due when you pick up your pet. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard and debit.

Pick Up:  Pets are expected to be picked up as soon as they are finished. If you need to leave your pet for longer, or can only pick up at a certain time, that must be arranged when scheduling the appointment.

Missed Appointments: Please give 24 hours notice if you are unable to make a scheduled appointment. A $25 fee will be applied to your account for "no shows" or cancellations without 24 hours notice. In addition, those who arrive more than 15 minutes late for their appointment may not be accommodated.
